Update on a Healthy Bruce and Bailee

Well Bruce and Bailee were sick as I explained in my last post, but they are doing much better now and both feeling back to their normal puppy selves! this includes jumping on the neighbors when they come to visit, stealing any and everything they can get their paws on and running around the house like psycho's! I am glad to have my babies feeling better, although I did enjoy the quiet while it lasted. I took them to the park for 40 minutes and ran around with them to ware them out, it worked! they came home and laid around the house and took puppy naps =)

We are currently house hunting (for a rental) mainly so that Bruce and Bailee can have a backyard! so there will more updates on that as well! Now to go take them out, they love to ring that bell on the door!

Two Sick Pups

The last few days have been hard on our 2 babies! First off, on Friday I had to drop Bruce off at the vet on my way to work because he was having diarrhea and laying around the house whining and looking generally sad and mopey. When Phillip picked Bruce up from the vet later that day he wasn't feeling any better, it had actually worsened. So we bought all the meds Bruce would need in order to feel better and took him home. Bruce took the antibiotics fine, because they were wrapped in cheese, but when it came to the powder we had to pour over his food, I had to literally hand feed him the whole bowl! He is such a baby but he knows his mommy and daddy will take care of him. He has been getting lots of lovins and just started to feel better!

Then I find a surprise from Bailee and now she is sick (same symptoms) so the vet told us how much medicine to give to her and hopefully they both will be feeling back to themselves in no time. For now both of them are laying here on the floor at my feet and getting lots of attention and care. I can't wait until we have our own backyard and don't have to worry about them getting sick from sniffing where other dogs have been. All adventures include laying around the house and getting love until they feel better!

Our Babies (everything you want to know and possibly things you don't want to know)

Let's start with our first baby, his name is Bruce

BRUCE
Bruce was born May 04, 2010! He was such a little cute puppy! We got him from our neighbors dog who had 8 puppies, we would visit him everyday with his mama and were so excited when we finally got to bring him home! Bruce discovered his love for water at 4 months of age (as soon as he had all his shots and could play at the park)
He grew fast though and started getting so big! It seemed like every week he would gain weight! We realized that Bruce was going to be a big dog very quickly and decided to enroll him in Puppy Education training at PetSmart. He did really well and got a diploma too! Since he graduated from that class we enrolled him in the Intermediate training and our smart boy passed with flying colors!

Bruce was a very friendly and happy dog, he got to go to the park everyday and play with his friends and we even made play-dates for him!

But our family wouldn't be complete if it weren't for that day we went into PetSmart to pick up his heart-worm prevention because that was the day we met his sister!

BAILEE

Bailee was born February 15,2011
We adopted her from a rescue group at PetSmart on June 12, 2011

Bailee was not in very good shape when we got her, she had been found wandering the streets and we have no idea what she has been through. She had a large cut on her right leg that the rescue group had stitched up and she was taking antibiotics. We signed her up for a puppy wellness plan as we had done with Bruce and started getting her the care she needed (which ended up costing a lot) Bailee was worth it! Bruce and Bailee have such different personalities and they got along instantly! while Bruce is a big baby, Bailee is a fiesty little girl and showed no fear at all when confronted with a dog twice her size! They started playing right away...

We couldn't be happier with our two babies! They are inseparable and they love each other so much! We are so glad that Bailee is part of our family now and that she is happy and has a good home!

These have got to be two of the luckiest dogs! They get to go to the park and play with their friends and get plenty of exercise and they have each other at home to keep them company! We love them so much! Maybe one day we will have "real" babies but now Bruce and Bailee are enough!
